I was cutting some cantaloupe a few weeks back when I noticed this bizarre zigzag streak cut into the juicy flesh of the ripe, orange melon. Thinking at first that I had stumbled into some abnormal or diseased specimen, I soon realized that a seed had simply been caught on the edge of the knife as I sawed through the tough rind.

In keeping with the theme of companies after my namesake, I found these candles from the Tyler Candle Company in a little boutique down of Edgewater Dr.

Today my car turned 100k. Happy Mileage.

Tyler Trucking

I was driving to work a few weeks ago when I saw this truck pull up next to me:

I’m sitting outside of the brand new Apple Store Florida Mall, waiting in line with seventeen other Mac geeks for the grand opening at 10:00 AM. Several of the earliest arrivals are sitting with their PowerBooks and iBooks open, being among the first to use of the “Apple Store” SSID. The first 1000 people will get the customary free T-shirt, which I’m looking forward to. This will be the first store opening that I’ve attended. The crowd doesn’t seem too excited yet, but as the opening time approaches, the anticipation will likely mount into an uncontainable explosion of geek.

The New Place

Erin and I went and drove through Avalon Park tonight to see what all this grand community has to offer. There’s a cute little downtown area with shops and restaurants, reminiscent of Celebration. It should be a fun place to live, especially after the Publix they’re building is finished.

Webbed Feet

While looking up webbed feet on the Internet tonight, I realized there’s a dearth of photos of webbed feet, and not many that are as webbed as mine, so I give you this shot of the underside of my foot. I also discovered tonight that in addition to being able to separate web toes, they can also make toes webbed. Maybe I should go and have the rest of mine done now.

Today was a day full of silliness. This photo does a pretty good job of summing it all up.

Melbourne Day

04 03 14

This weekend couldn’t have been much better. It was really good to be able to hang out with everyone so much, after being away on that awful cruise for the whole rest of spring break. The photo above was one of the highlights of our day at the beach today. The kids on the right were feeding that huge flock of seagulls, and drawing in more by the minute, while the woman on the left is obviously getting quite aggravated at her increasing chance of been pooped on. Shortly after that they got up to scare them all away and one kid tripped and fell and got a mouth full of sand. I think the angry woman was content with that retribution. Melbourne is quite the place to go for people watching. Good times.
